Women`s fashion always depends on the accessories which goes with the all important dress. Among those accessories, shoes play a very important role. Shoes are always in the back of any designers mind when he decides on the dress.

Most of the designers prefer to shop online for shoes and accessories. It has lots of advantages. The selection is much more in the internet than walking to a store. There are many web sites and online stores to go through and order from. It is also cheaper when it is purchased online. The cost of running a physical showroom in a city is eliminated for the sellers and that benefit is passed onto the customers by them.

Today`s fashion world has a trend of choosing sports and active wear type shoes for most of the women`s dresses. Bold and bright colors are finding its way into the fashion world through shoe designs. Dull looking dress can be lightened by the bright shoe design. Designers are looking seriously into this issue for new designs.

ANCIENT AND MEDIEVAL ERAS

Every phenomenon on earth has an origin. Man itself has a profound origin and so is every other creation in the world. There is always a starting point in every endeavor in life. The same applies to fashion Merchandising.

Fashion merchandising is as old as man. The ancient period played a very prominent role in the development of fashion merchandize. In the ancient Greek era, history has it that men and women of that era were so much preoccupied with the thought about the origin of the world. In the ancient Greek for instance, the men in particular preoccupied themselves with the act  of thinking.

They tried to discover the stuff that underlies the reality of the universe. They wondered about the stuff from which world was made. These people also had need to wear clothing materials and other necessary fashion accessories of the time. However, they made animal skins and other weaved products for their clothing. The idea of marketing the fashion product was not there as there are no quality fashion product yet available.

In the medieval era, the story was the same. Fashion merchandising was still born during the era. This is because; the medieval era was a dark period in the history of mankind.
